My Sisters Place offer support to women aged 16 years and over who are experiencing domestic abuse. The local charity helps on average 1500 women each year through support, advocacy, therapeutic services and training. Our highly experienced team of staff and volunteers provide support across a range of issues to increase safety and improve health and well-being for women and their children.
Domestic abuse is everyone’s business, it impacts families and communities. Domestic abuse is not always visible, it can include emotional, psychological, sexual and financial abuse.
My Sisters Place works closely with the wider community through education and community involvement to create a cultural shift in a zero tolerance of domestic abuse and better equip families to protect one another.
