Gerard started his building career as an apprentice joiner and having fully qualified, quickly moved through the ranks to site management. Whilst there he won awards, for his build quality, on numerous occasions. At Barratt Homes as Contracts Manager, then Construction Manager he successfully managed his team to achieve the NHBC Pride in the Job quality awards, as well as Seal of Excellence awards on numerous occasions. At Miller Homes as Construction Director, he managed his team to achieve the North East Division’s first NHBC Pride in the Job award.

Mick Hammond

Contracts Director

Mick started in 1985 as an apprentice pipe layer for a local building company. Mick progressed through the ranks for various civil engineering companies to a Site Forman and quickly advanced to a Site Manager. At the age of 23 Mick broke from the chain and became self-employed in the construction field, before forming HMH Civils Ltd in 2013. Mick is highly skilled in heavy civil engineering and has vast knowledge in Roads and Sewers, Reinforcing Concrete Structures, Pipe Jacking and Tunnelling; with great experience gained on the Tyne Tunnel Project.
